AES Panamá Foundation strengthens its commitment to gender equity through the STEAM Girls 360 Program
February 23, 2024
The AES Panamá Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to gender equity by partnering with FundeSTEAM's STEAM Girls 360 program. This strategic collaboration aims to promote equality from an early age by stimulating interest and training in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and Arts (STEAM) careers, especially among young women.
The STEAM Girls 360 program focuses on empowering participants, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and challenging deeply rooted gender stereotypes in these areas. On this occasion, 21 girls are intensively preparing to compete in robotics olympiads at regional, national, and world levels.
These young women represent the transformative potential of STEAM education on an international level. Their participation in high-level competitions not only demonstrates their skill and dedication but also highlights the positive impact that gender equity and inclusion have on the advancement of key areas globally.
The AES Panamá Foundation is proud to be part of this initiative that not only promotes the talent and capacity of young women but also plays a fundamental role in advancing gender equity in Panama.
