Jeff Mckay
Chief Financial Officer
Jeff joined AES in 2004 and during his time has held various leadership positions in the finance function in the US and Latin America. He has been critical to the evolution of the AES Finance organization. Most notably, Jeff was a key part of the team that established the Panamá finance hub in 2008 and Indianapolis finance hub in 2013. In his various leadership roles Jeff has executed more than USD $12 Billion in financings and has been a critical part in the various asset purchases and sales, and other strategic transactions that have helped shape the current US and Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean (MCAC) portfolios.
Jeff has been the Chief Financial Officer of MCAC since May 1, 2020. Prior to his current roles, Jeff served as the Treasurer and Director of Mergers & Acquisitions for MCAC. Between 2013 and 2018, he was the Treasurer and Director of Business Development Analytics for AES´ United States business unit, which included two integrated utility companies and 18 distinct generation facilities.
Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Dartmouth College and has executive education certificates from University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and the Instituto Centroamericano de Administración de Empresas (INCAE) Business School.
Born and raised in midwestern US (Ohio), Jeff is married with a six-year-old son. He's a former college football player at Dartmouth, and enjoys skiing, scuba diving, tennis and other outdoor activities.
